FYI they're also illegal, hence you could have fun with insurance should you have an accident. They're not even legal on VEs which come with 20s as standard (there are threads on here on that). Your choice of course though. If you really want to go ahead contact Black Diamond on here - he will make sure you get good advice!

I've got 19's on mine and look just right. 20 would be the absolute max you would want to go on a vx, otherwise it'll just look weird. Also, you'd need some big ass brakes to fill the gap as well...

I currently have 20" on the moment just curious to see what they look like even if they fit. I will put up a pic of 22" on a clubby.

I think that MET has given the most intelligent reply to this post yet. blown408chev with his ealier thread of why people are not posting anymore is completely relevant to whats happening in this thread. The guy asked how much it would cost for a 22" rim and tyre package, not for a moral strip down and a goading about insurance companies. Mate, from what I gather as a general price, you'd be looking at something between $3-$4k depending on the brand/type and finish of the rim (chrome, matte etc). Good luck with your hunt but I'd recommend having a spare set of wheels handy if it goes pair shaped.

PS: I am not having a go at people I just think that people have had enough of the negative being thrust into every thread these days.

Why not 22" if they dont fit its worth a try and i will just trade my 20" for another set of 20". If thats the case i might go for 20" ve gts, or 20" ve supersport wheels etc but these days everyone has these rims now.

22's with half decent tyres will cost from roughly 3500-5000.. depending on if u want a rim made in Africa or not :D

But u will need front coilovers minimum and probably some guard rolling.

I take your point but I'm coming from the point of view that many people don't realise it's illegal and I feel I have a duty to point that out just in case he isn't aware. It would be bad if he put 22s on and wrote off his car, then found out that his insurance company wouldn't pay up because of the 22s.

You'll note that I never mentioned police and also said it was his choice in the end (as to whether he took the risk). I then also followed up by saying given he was in Melbourne his best bet if he wanted to proceed was to contact Black Diamond (who owns a tyre place) and has 22s on his ute. Good, honest, no bullshit advice and good prices if he goes ahead. I don't see how that is anything less than fully informative!
