I know I attained these pictures on here, but I cannot remember who owns it. I wanted to figure out what type of hood you are running.

Thats an aftermarket bonnet that has a Ford Falcon hump incorporated into it. The Falcon is the commodores main competitior over here and the v8s have this distinctive hump in them.
Hope this helps although it doesn't answer your question of who's car it is :).

Thank you. Was it only a one of a kind? Can you purchase them from somewhere?

u can purchase the "hump" off ebay and it can be grafted onto any bonnet really just do a search on BA XR8 bonnet.
for another perspective on the bonet, have a look here...

That's just the gayest thing anyone could do to a commodore really, why bastardise a bonnet like that. BA bulges look good on BA's

That bonnet has to be Photoshopped, no one would do that to a commodore, looks very wrong
Might look better with a XY GT shaker :nyuk:

That bonnet bulge looks great... if Holden had that from the factory people would be fighting each other to get their hands on those bonnets.

yeah youre right but the fact its from the rivals, well atleast the Ford fanboys would have something to love on some Holdens too
Eldon and VEBudd, totally agree, if it was a Holden part everyone would be fighting tooth and nail to own one themselves. I think it looks good and gives the car more individuality, instead of the typical cliche bodykits and the like which run rife here.

Got an issue? Get a tissue.
I'm merely stating that again we're getting a few cynnical comments floating around. Non-constructive, negative crap.
Now if we wanna get technical refer your quote:
Ford bits on Holdens is wrong. :spew:
Why is it wrong?
So any holden driver with a ford nine inch diff is just wrong?
It's not your car, so what do you care?
More-so, if its so shit, what would you suggest to improve the look????
Put some VW badges on it? a 5" cannon muffler perhaps??
Petty bullshit aside, if you don't like it, be prepared to justify why.
Simple really.
Now, back on topic.
EDIT: and FTR, this thread isn't really about anyones opinion of the car. The thread title is asking who's car it is - not what we all think of it. It's not in the rides section after-all... :)
Time for a little nap before big lunch?

i am only new to this forum but i get the picture unless you "conform" to the thread you get blasted for having a different opinion which is seen as a negative.... whats the point of a forum if everyone just agreed on everything?
and yeah Ford diffs are a tad different to cosmetic add on like this, call me a purist i just do not like it!

Blasted? Naah, This is a public forum with many different views and perspectives which is great. In comparison to other forums ive used in the past its one of the more mature ones. I - like the majority on here, welcome others opinions, but to say something is rubbish just because it doesnt conform to one's personal ideas is just plain wrong. Golf R32 just copped the brunt of it (again?)
Anyways, any further discussion relating to my comments, pm me, or bring it up in this (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=111072) thread.

I think it looks quite good myself, but as stated above the black monaro makes it very boss 260 looking.
least the owner had the balls to do what he wanted.
probly a good idea if fitting an OTR aswell saves modifying the radiator etc like a vx.

IMHO it needs black accents down the side of the car also.
Anyway, it's a car that will be quite unique and not to everyone's tastes. I'm just jealous of the lucky P plate person driving around in it!!!!

Back in the day it was not uncommon to see the old EA falcon with a VN Group A bodykit, LOL, or a VR/S with an Excel front bar...
Love or hate it at least it fits properly and they've done a fine job of mating the two bonnets together. Not my cup of tea, perhaps with more than a slightly ill fitted and off tone front bar it may have looked 10 times better - BUT - it beats the hell out of whats more common these days in my broader area is commodores with fibreglass kits that look like paper mache and fitted so bad it looks like they've been tied on with zip ties.

wether the bonnet looks good or bad that doesnt matter. The point is that the guy who started this thread wants to know who owns it?
Anyone know????
