Im not sure about other states but in WA I have noticed several dealers doing demo 08 WM Caprices for around 54K - which for a car that retails over 70K seems like amazing value.

You get so much car for your money they are hard to beat.

So even though we couldn't afford it I just bought one. Only had it a few days but must say it is an awesome car and the kids are stoked in the back with the leg room with DVD headsets on watching movies !!!

So now I have a foot in both camps - a Falcon BF GT and a WM Caprice. I might need to get some more work done on the GT because at the moment from just driving both that the Caprice would put it to shame.

The resale on a Caprice does worry you but when you start out at these prices it shouldnt be too bad in a few years.

Good work! That sounds like a fantastic deal!

I'm sure you'll enjoy the WM, it's a great car and at that price you can't go wrong!

Enjoy.

Congrats to the purchase mate! Got any pics? One of my uncles has a WM Caprice and I've been lucky enough to drive it a fair bit, country and city. You certainly know you're in a large car when you're in the city but it seems to shrink around you on the country roads. The suspension at highway speeds is a bit boaty but I am coming from an SS. They do ride in the sky too but these are all things that come down to personal preference. They're an awesome car, and going from my car to the Caprice it just amazes at how far they lept forward from the VY/Z to the VE series. Awesome cars :)

Very nice car. I own a WK Caprice since 3 weeks ago. I can get enough of it. Its such a good car.

In 3-4 years when it comes time to change I might look at a WM Caprice. I'd love to see the differences between the WK/WL series and the VE.

Let me know (PM) what fuel economy you get. I get about 460km to a tank... but I must say I did drive it hard a few times :nyuk:
