Does anyone like the W427 G8 Wheels?

Is this a copy?

I heard that where was a copy coming out.

The real wheel is below, its simlar but not the same as the W427.

Black Diamond already has a set of these in 22's fitted to his ute. I wonder if he's taken any pics yet.....

They're not even really that much of a copy!
Like most cheap Asian rims, they trade off the name of a desirable model to pull in the punters...

They arnt exact whether they are black or silver but they still look pretty good on Black Diamonds ute in 22's.

I put some on the other day, 22x8.5x9.5, 295/245's. Still not sure if i like them. I am selling the package if anyone is interested.

I think that the problem with the look is the black painter instead of the silver, IMO the silver just break up the look.

But I like them all the same in the 22".

I like the silver but still with the machined spoke face would be nice as from the pics I have seen they are just painted all silver.

Agree 100%, i think on the black ute all silver would suit it heaps better.

I really like these rims. :thumbsup:

For those on a budget with an R8 with 19's already, buy a set and fit the OEM tyres.

Instantly improve the cars look for small outlay!

Given the price of 20" tyres you are either getting absolute crap tyres or a bargain there!! As Mike said, contact Black Diamond (forum member) at Protek Tyres in Oakleigh, though he won't be there for a few days after today as having a well earned break.

just check on what brand & load rating your being offered at that price. as it could be crappy linglong, Wanli or similar crap.

$800 - $900 for tyres is only $200 - $225 each and you're unlikely to get anything decent in 20s for that! As Mike said, check load rating etc as if not suitable for the car and you have an accident your insurance could be wiped.

i got these 20's off Black Diamond in staggered fitment with Kumho ku31's 245 front & 275 rears & for only a few hundred more then your being quoted on the g8's from the ebay guy

Kumho KU31's are around the $270 mark a tyre, I wouldn't go any less than these. Bridgestone's, Pirelli's etc, expect quotes double that figure.

was $2400. but i guess if you went cheaper tyres & non staggered you could them them around 2k

Fair enough. Was thinking of selling my supersports and getting something different. Figured if I could sell all 5, without tyres I could buy 5 new aftermarkets for about that money
