Guys, After Christmas etc funds are limited but driving the SS stock is doing my head in. I have the urge to spend some $$ but not really sure which way to go. I have been considering exhaust & tune & suspension but cannot afford all at present.

Do I get exhaust & tune or get the springs & konis installed? Which way would you guys go ??

Cheers!

If its doing your head in so much id definately go for the tune and exhaust side of things. as the feeling your gonna get from a harder ride and better handling isnt gonna be anywhere near as good as putting your head back a bit harder when you take off.
Do a search around the site and youll find plenty of posts on the same subject with people in your situation.
But be warned..... no matter how much power you get...... youll always end up wanting more..... which sucks because it cost heaps haha

cheers Brett

personally i believe the first mods to any car to make them look/sound/go a little better is always to lower & exhaust first then build from there....CAI, tune, suspension/brakes etc etc

depends how much $$$ u have to spend initially..

There's SO MUCH info on what's available on this forum, but I will give you one important piece of advice.
DON'T fall into the trap of doing one thing at a time (due to limited funds), to then have to go back again in the near future and take off something you've done and replace it with something else again!
It's a very common trap when people find various mods aren't really that compatable with each other, and a total waste of money.
Sometimes it is just better to not scratch the itch for a while, save up some more money, and do it right the first time.

Yeah i suppose it really depends what hes after in the end.....
IMO i want my car to look good first before i start spending money on go faster mods.... but then again the way i read the original post was that he was annoyed at driving it stock... not looking good so I just assumed for him haha..
Then theres othere that will argue that it will be all show no go. (even tho they still go harder than a sss pulsar hahaha)
so theres heaps of varieties I guess...

and yeah i completely agree with planetdavo i did that exact thing when it came to modding my exhaust i just did bit by bit modding bits on the exhaust the previous owner fitted (which was shit) now that ive finished it would of almost been cheaper to fit a whole new good brand sports system.
but now i have i shonky exhaust with after market bits which ill probably end up changing completely anyway one day down the track
