vy pressure gauge

howdy, i have a vy clubby series 2 r8 and my oil pressure gauge on the centre dash shat itself. ive taken it to my tuner and its the actual gauge itself thats dead not the pressure. i know its a long shot but i was just wondering if there is anyone in perth WA that has the same r8 still covered under warranty, that is willing to put my gauge in and take it to holden to fix.
ill give you a carton of piss or some cash.

Wont work, you need TechII to get the dash clusters to talk to each other ;)

Once the new dash is in the 'other' car, it wont work in yours. There is also an odometer lockout on swapping them around as well apparently.

He's talking about the oil pressure gauge in the centre pod....
The problem is normally the sender..
Wouldn't be too many VYs under new car warranty any more i wouldn't think.
Just test the sender output and buy a new one if it is broken.

Absolutely.
The last VY was built in 2004, meaning they all ran out of HSV warranty in 2007. We are now in 2009!
Any extended warranties will not cover HSV specific items either, and VZ used different gauges.
Time for the OP to just do what everyone else has to do, and accept that cars cost money to maintain.
