Hangtime....

I know the announcements been up there for a while now but just wondering if you guys are aware of the hangtime when posting or if anyone else is getting it?

Once you hit the reply button the page hangs until you get the 'Database error' page come up but if you hit the ' New Posts' link while its still timing out the post is already there...

I get a little hand time, but no database error lately.

Are you using Firefox?

Yup.

Seems to be only on the longer threads if they've gone past a page of posts.....

I have noticed this as well and thought it was my comp so I changed comps and I still get lag when trying to post sometimes. It's been happening for a couple of weeks now I think.

Unfortunately this is a known fault with any PHP scripted site. As the site gets bigger (More Posts) it takes longer for the database to allocate correct positioning to the reply.....

This can be fixed by optimising the database and/or throwing a bit more memory at the server.....

Yeah i use Firefox and have just been starting to realise longer times for posts to be posted to a thread.....although its not all threads.
