Haha nice one, I was about to say the same thing.
Perhaps you should take the car to Holden or a reputable tuner and they will be able to pinpoint the issue in a matter of minutes.

I have been told the ABS may fail if it's been exposed to large amounts of water. You haven't by any chance been hosing under the bonnet lately? Although it should make quite a few lights come up on the dash if this is the case.
Good luck with it.

you guys know how it is, i cruised around in my clubby with traction controll on most of the time but this SS is purerly a cheap car for me and y sons to get ready for easter nats so I will be frying the tyres as much as possible and making sure I have a top weekend. I worked it out in the end and it was just that some one had spilled some softdrink into the switch so I pulled it dow, slaped on som contact gell and of she went sideways up the street. thanks for the help anyways guys and good one about the caps lock haha I must have had 1 too many of those sleeping tablets the doc gave me when I put the post up!

if its not a faulty abs sensor as mentioned above then it could be the dash cluster.
me and a mate swapped a dash cluster in a vt ss with a snazzier one from a vu ss ute. if you swap one in a sedan, for one from a vu ute (which dosent have traction control) the tract control stays on permenantly as a default.
were the ks on the speedo genuine?
cosmeticly, theres a bit of a difference between the two clusters.
my two cents

Read the post above yours mate. The owner said he fixed it. It was stuck because of soft drink spilt in it. And that was 2 weeks ago
