I can get a cheap new 2.92 lsd diff centre but they list as being for SV6 and Calais 5spd auto's.

I want to know if there is only one type of 2.92 lsd centre for the VE?

Or do the SS auto's have a different type of diff centre?

Any help would be appreciated.

correct 2.92 is what the hi output alloytecs get sv6 and calais.

the stand alloytec gets 3.08 omega and berlina with a 4spd auto

the v8 calias ss/ssv auto gets 3.27 manual gets 3.46

hsv gets 3.73 which i think is in both auto and manual??

VE diffs aren't timed so the gearing for SS man and HSV is 3.45:1 and 3.7:1.

Just to clarify,

I am asking if there are different 2.92 lsd diffs for a v6 vs a v8?

The ve ss auto is 2.92 lsd.

Only one type of 2.92 LSD.
But they did change input flange PCD early last year. Might be an idea to check which size you will need before buying.
If you have the later style flange (Diff to tailshaft) the PCD will be 105mm.
