Aps Frankston along with other performance workshops will be working with Australian Lpg Warehouse to release performance liquid injection kits to suit N/a and boosted applications. First cab off the rank was Mick's VE GTS 6.2 litre, tune only car made 255 rwkw on BP ultimate. With the new operating system supplied by efi live allowing a LPG spark table and a second commanded PE table, the car made 273 rwkw on LPG.

I have a VY SV8 and was wondering if it was possible on these engines to run a dedicated gas system.

Your car could be made to be dedicated liquid injection, but you will need to retain your ecu as it will be needed to give the injector signal.
You will also have a delay when starting the car, as the liquid system requires a short period of the pump running to purge the gas lines, this is not normally a problem when starting, as the cars usually start on petrol and this purge is happening while it is warming up and then it switches over without the driver even realising.
A dedicted gas system, means you would have to allow for this purge time before starting it.

Do you guys have any recommended workshops over here in the west that can install this system on a ve?
Ideally some one that isnt trying to make extra money on top of the 3K rebates we get here.

Gas Power in WA have been trained to install JTG. They have plenty of locations in and around Perth. Give them a call 089279013.

Yeah but what would the dyno figure have been on PULP if it was running on all cylinders? :stick:

Are you able to run this lpg set-up as a gas only on a FI motor?

The dyno sheet shows petrol run then gas run with all cylinders firing.

Looks like i have to wait a little longer to join the cheap fuel line.
Apparently this kit has been knocked back by the local "Knuckwits" because the line from the fill cap to the tank isnt good enough for them.
This shit's me because the kit is obviously good enough for all the other states of australia who all now have the same ADR standards. Yet the ****wits over here pull shit like this.
I can get the kit installed as is and get the $2k federal rebate, yet i cant get it passed the local DPI (dipshits poofter idiots) for the WA $1k rebate and mod plate.

Any pictures of the tank arrangement?
Does the gas tank replace the fuel tank, or does it go in the boot?
Is the standard filler location used for gas?

Have you guys installed gas on any modified ve's as of yet? i.e Supercharged...
Could potentially get away from having to upgrade the petrol fuel system if a lpg one could supply enough gas.

Tre-cool did the installers i mean knuckwits give a reason? My installer said my hot fill issues is because of the vapour pressure in the fill line, i wonder if this was the reason???

Did you guys ever do the install on your whipple blown ute or did it turn out too difficult?

from what i was told, it was because of the new filler hose. they thought it was plastic, so have told them to go back and use the old hose's.

Keeping it simple, i travel 300kms a week city driving i average 14.5ltrs per 100kms on petrol and 17.2ltrs per 100kms on LPG.
Petrol at $1.20ltr 14.5ltrs per 100kms 300kms = $52.20 per week
Gas at $0.50cents ltr 17.2ltrs per 100kms 300kms = $25.80 per week
Saving $26.40 per week
Safe to say half your fuel bill with more KWs on Gas, not bad......

Hey guys,
great posts keep em comming - a very interesting read and i'm sure a heap of people are into this.
Has anyone in Perth had this done yet to a VE LS2 yet and passed DPI? or are there still some issues?

Question:
What are the long term effects from the gas on the internals of an engine when pushing more Hp than ULP?
