Advice on fitting sports pedal vy

I have just purchased the sports pedals for my VY calais. Does any body know the best way to change the accelerator pedal?
Can it be done in the car, or best to take the whole pedal out and do it on a bench?

it'll be much easier to take it out but it can be done with it in the car, very fiddly though. I ended up cutting off the knobs on the back, heating up the rubber edge (just a bit)and stretching it over the pedal. its very snug and doesnt look like coming off at all. with the pedal out youll be able to maneuver it better and do it properly.

I cannot remember how I did mine, but it was accelerator arm in the car. I think I simply pushed the sel-lok pin out, with a drift and multigrips.

Thanks guys! will see how i go, i reckon i will take the whole arm out and tackle it that way. Just thought id see how else others had done it..
