Hey all i was just wondering if the sedan ss suspension was softer than the utes, cause on the roads i go the utes a fair bit too stiff for my liking and was just curious? Or even the maloo? or is it stiffer?

I'm sure I read on here somewhere that the rear spring rate is about 50kg softer on the sedan & the fronts are the same. Fitting std rear SS sedan springs to the rear should soften the ride & lower it 20 or 30mm. I used sedan lowering springs in my ute & it rides pretty well. Cheers, Steve.

Interesting - given I am going from SSV sedan to SSV ute I contacted Kings once I realised that Monroe short shocks are different in sedan to ute. Given one option I have is to pull everything off the sedan and transfer it to the ute that concerned me, so I wrote to them about it knowing that Kings actually did 90+% of the development work on the Monroe short body shocks. The reply I got said:

Gary,

You can swap the front Monroe's and front and rear springs over, no problem.
The rear shocks however is a bit of an issue. The only difference is the
sedan shock is a 15mm shorter than the Ute shock and therefore if fitted to
the Ute you can have issues where the suspension travels too far and your
control arm joints will bind. Not really recommended.
