Has anyone with a ve ss ute experienced any clutch slipping when changing down gears on high revs?? Every now and again when pulling up going down the gears quickly when i go from 3rd to 2nd you can here the clutch slipping. It did happen once before when going up the gears from 5th to 6th which is worse because i wasnt even getting up it. I just had my 15000k service 4 weeks ago and speaking to the service manager he said some people have experienced this and holden had said there is no fix for it as yet. Funny enough my has only started slipping the last 2 weeks after the service.
common as houses try searching. Shit clutches, full stop.
Holden will either tell you its within operational limits, or if you manage to completely trash it ... then you might get a new one (which will do the same thing by design) ... or they'll say you've abused it , depending how could you are at socially engineering those disinterested dealer managers anyway.
best of luck bud ...

I havn't had it happen on downshift, but a few times when I've given the clutch a flick in 2nd to induce wheel spin the clutch has let go, once in the wet. Pretty disapointing really as I'm much nicer to this ute than I was to the Maloo & it never looked like slipping (except once when I forgot to turn the traction control off). Perhaps the VE's hook up better making them harder on clutches, or as Darb suggested they are just shit clutches.
Cheers, Steve.

= Dont be dissapointed with a factory clutch. Not for what we pay for these cars. My BA had a ****in rubbish clutch and gearbox. 8k to fix, ill happily have my VE T56 AND shitty clutch.
