BE CAREFUL
Austyre is also one of the few remould manufacturers in Australia. Don't buy a remould.....

hey. i got these on my 20s. they are just the standard austyre tyres not the 'sport' versions. the sport versions are EXTREMLY noisy on the road.

I had a brand new set on my car when I bought it that I had to throw away because of THE NOISE.

4wd's with knobby tyres are quieter.

i've got 4 in 19" on the maloo... only done 500km on the back ones and about 1000km on the fronts...

they're ok... they are only a cheap tyre (i paid $460 for the last pair i think?), and you get what you pay for... as misterS has said - they are noisy on the highway. but for what i paid, i don't mind...

they grip ok in the wet, ok in the dry... i wouldn't hit the track (drags or circuit) with them as they wouldn't cut it... and i won't go getting too excited on the street with them either as they're not fantastic...

but for what i want to do with the car they are fine... they haven't exploded yet, and the load rating of 98 on the 245/35 R19 is fantastic for guys with commodore utes after a budget tyre that won't have them getting defected for having the wrong load rating...

Interesting to hear mixed opinions, we havea set on the familys VS Clubsport and grip wise and tougness we have found them to be a shit load better than alot of top brand names, particularly in the wet

Have a set on the front of the VX. There basically exactly the same as the Kumho KU31 pattern and compound, probably made on the same line as well.

Havnt had any issues with them. Grip well in the wet and are not too noisy. Only thing i can hear is music or my exhaust.

For the price you cant go wrong:cheers:

I know this is a bit of a thread dig but hey good use of the search button i reckon. Are there any newer opinions about these tyres. Looking a a wheel and tyre package on a set of 20's.

Yeah i wouldn't trust them or Nankangs or Triangles or any other of that cheap crap.

If you want a cheap tyre look at Zetum. They are a budget tyre made by Kumho. Cheaper compound then the equivelant Kumho tyre, but at least they won't go and blow out on you.

Just for future referance, Option1Garage up here in Brisbane sell Kumho's cheap. They are sponsored by them and sell alot of them. I paid $200 each for the 245/35/19 KU31's on my SSZ. Thats not fitted though, so you have to get done aswell. It surely beat the $320-350 all the other shops wanted for them. They deliver Australia wide aswell.

(PS: i have NO affiliation with them, i just think it is a good price, and if i can save someone a few bucks, then its a good thing lol)

They dont seem to have any 245/35/19 on the site in their KU31's section but their range does look pretty cheap.

Think i'll be driving up to brissy for the next set i put on.

They defently have them mate. I bought mine from them, and i know a fair few others that have aswell. Give them a call. They charge about $8 a tyre to send on Couriers Please, so its cheap to deliver. Thats locally though, around Brisbane area. Not sure what it would be to the Gold Coast, or anywhere else.

It's over 12 months since my last post in this thread and the tyres I had then, I still have now...
Still loads of life left in them. And I'm still happy with them...
