hi everyone.
i have a leak on my power steering rack and i was wondering if a holden rack would be the same as a HSV. i have a VZ maloo. Im not sure if HSV would have changed this out. (doubt it)

found this, what do youse think of the pricing?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Commodore-VT-VX-VY-VZ-Power-Steering-Racks-REMANUFACTUR_W0QQitemZ360138131232QQcmdZViewItemQQ ptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item360138131232&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

also i recon id be able to put the car up on blocks and change it out, or would i need a hoist.

thanks in advance

seems like a common problem on vz utes, i had mine replaced in my vz ssz ute, luckily i still had 2 weeks of warranty left when it happened, i would expect them to be the same unit, but i can't say for sure.

yeah i mite see if its still under warranty. hopefully it is.
only problem is that the holden dealer is 250ks away and oil is leaking on my exhaust and flicking under my car.

How serious is the leak,
A drip now and then or like nearly running out.

just dripping but im guessing it is a bit worse when turning as i went around a corner and saw smoke. thats what made me look under there. its leaking on the driver side extractor. theyre ceramic coated headders how do you think il go geting the burnt oil off em?
not happy as rite when i want to sell it. :vpo:
