Guys

Am considering the idea of changing my 20" Supersports to something different. Some might say not to change them as I already have a great rim but I just wanted to gauge some opinions in these couple I have chopped onto my car. I will be staying at 20"

Personally I like the first two

Cheers

I like the first and last pic.

The wheel in the last pic a great looking wheels, I put those same wheel on my black VE SS a couple of weeks ago. The photo does not do them justice !

Nice deep chrome dish with some black accents. I love 'em !

All comes down to personal choice and with the myriad of different wheels on the market, it makes choosing a wheel pretty damn hard.

Good luck bloke !

Cheers....

Thanks guys.

There are so many wheels and it is very hard - that's why I asked for opinions I guess. I will make my decision anyway but my comments are this.

I Like the first two. The top one is probably out in front but my mate has them on his white VE SS. The Black G8's look good but I have never been a big fan of black wheels on black cars. It is changing with those though.
The third ones look like W427 wheels and I'm trying to get away from factory look. That leaves the bottom ones which are what CAPA use on their cars. One 'acquaintance said the looked like daisies.

I have always been very interested in the Advanti Viennas but I saw them on a silver one recently and it put me off.

I do like these. Haven't heard of Enix before. Are they any good. It said these were forged. Anyway nice rim - Turbine
http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s212/ZC_74/Enix-Turbine.jpg

And a couple from Koya. Again, not a brand I'm readily familiar with. Quality is alright?

There's quite a few VE's in brissy with the last set.

I reckon RS4 replicas would look good on a VE with suspension work.

Yeah, I love the RS4 as a car and I love those rims. But as a 20" will they start looking a bit weird? Aren't they 18's on the Audi.

Which did you mean by the last set.

As an alternative, why not try painting your supersports black like The Brock did.

I took the supersports off my car and put gauntlants on them. (i think thats what the first ones are). Different colour car but the mirror finish on them looks pretty good. Plus 275's on the back give plenty of grip

I had. But not black. This is a guyu in Melbourne, Curtis. Out of all I have seen his is my fav. What he did with his Supersports was paint them a shadow chrome. And they look the biz.

Problem is, that was $800 for his rims. I would think selling my 5 Supersports should give me enough to buy 5 aftermarket rims only

DTM Shines, though IMHO the spokes being so narrow don't suit sedan. The Flairs have the same dish but thicker spokes.

If I remember correctly where you live boyley I wouldn't worry about that as there is no way the two cars are ever going to be seen together! Put on whatever rims you really like and don't feel you are stealing anybody's thunder - it's not like they're a $10 throwaway option when you want a change.

I have a set of brand new SSV rims (have done 14k) - I drove my new ute ( above) with 3km on it when I picked it up straight to Black Diamond's tyre shop (11km) and had the DTM Shines put on it. Currently advertised on here for $1,900 but am shortly going to put the price up as just found out that the new Michellin 19" tyres as used on 09 built SSVs are worth $850 each compared to the Bridgies at $650!!

I quite like the DUB X-13 wheels. U can go to a configurator here

http://www.mhtwheels.com/configurator/dub/index.cfm?strWheelName=X-13

and set the colours of the: face, window, accents, lip, lip stripe, inner lip, and bolts. I'm still partial to the black face with chrome lip, maybe with a carbon weave inner lip, and chrome bolts :goodjob:

Bonners I can see what you mean by the pic of the RS4s on your car, doesnt do it justice. The thing that I like about the RS4s and rims like BBS CH are that the offset seems to really fill out the guards. I really like that look. Similar to the black SS with the DTMs on it, but because the spokes or mesh go right to the edge of the rim it gives the wheel a bigger look. Good luck, it is fun spending your money in public!

Good work Hoey. Drinking I mean....LOL

The problem is the same with all black wheels. I think they look alright but not on a black car. I am not full opposed but have almost convinced myself of one of 4.

1.ANZ Destino Delux (Sim to Walkinshaw Performance Vendetta Wheels) but they are hyper silver (wanted shadow chrome)
2. Diamo 25 Black. Yes a black rim but look good. Also sim to the Simmons wheels that WP sell.
3.Vertini Hennessy. Sim to Destino Delux but I think I can get them in a darker colour. I think price will kill me and a forum sponsor has informed their after sales isn't great.
4.Speedy cheetah in black or silver.

That said, I still like the gauntlets so it is very hard.

Good choice boyley. They do suit. There is no stock at the moment here in Brissie so it doesn't really matter.

No, I have chosen Destino Delux. They are made by LWT. Basically, if you go to the Walkinshaw website, and have a look at there wheel packages, it is the multispoke wheel. The only difference is that mine wont be grey in the middle they are machined.
