Door won't lock..sometimes!

Hi guys,

In the last week or so occasionally when I lock the car (CV8) only the passenger door will lock and the drivers door doesn't, followed a few beeps of the alarm..I suspect it's a dodgy door lock actuator playing up every now and again...Anyone else had this problem, is it a common fault?

Very common on VYs - hence given the year yours was built probably yours too. At least you only have a choice of two doors for tracking it down! :)

Yeah, exact same problem with my VY SS with the back drivers door.

Got to be a pain in the arse, as the door would stay locked as well!

Replaced the actuator during a factory service, cost $300 from memory.

Problem solved.

Yeah I've changed 3 of mine haha, and my drivers door is playing up AGAIN. I did a DIY thread, it's very easy. $130 for the actuator from Holden, half hour of your time, and she'll be better than new (better because the actuators are made in a completely different country now apparently due to the poor quality of the originals :)).

Ok, reasonably common problem then...Only had the car a few months..Time to give the Holden Certified Warranty a go, if it actually covers that!!
