Anyone know if the rear stabiliser bar on the VE 6ltre wagon is the same fitment as the VE Holden sedans and/or the HSV versions.(GTS etc)

Anyone with a wagon changed the rear bar yet.
Standard bar is a real slim one compared with the front.

Thanks in advance
Mike

I know mine is not a wagon like you ask, but I fitted a whiteline heavy duty adjustable rear swaybar to my Calais Sedan about 3 weeks ago and has been a great addition. Takes the inherant understeer and much of the roll out and very responsive.

I'm very happy with the handling improvement.

With a car that is unlikely to see the track and will have 99% road use is there any advantage in having a adjustable rear swaybar over just a bigger aftermarket version.

Are you able to take out more understeer and roll with the adjustments available over a standard aftermarket version ?

I have fitted the Whiteline adjustable swaybars front and rear.
Made an incredible difference. The best bit is if the balance of the car is out a bit, just go harder or softer at either end to get the balance where you like it.

Yup, what he said lol. I have my bar cranked full "hard" but I don't think that would be to everyones liking. The beauty is if it becomes too taily, then back it off a notch or two and you will find what's right for you and your car and associated suspension setup. I already have quite heavy rated lowered Quadrant/Bilstein suspension added, hence couldn't really compare it to a stock holden setup.

I have the Heavy Duty Whiteline front adjustable bar on order and also a strut brace. Two weeks away from arriving. The front bar is aparently a bugger to fit though.

Its a mammoth job. I got Autotechnique to do it. The engine needs to be lifter off the K-Frame.
