VU ute Rear end noise... need help

Just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas,

my vu ss ute is just started making a really loud road noise sound like you get from shitty tyres comming from the rear, only on the freeway at around the speed 100-120km and only while accelerating, soon as you take your foot off it goes quiet. has my diff shit itself??

sounds like diff whine to me. Mine clunks and bangs around, has done for ages. New oil quietened it down as I prefer a house then spending more money on the ute atm is out of the question. I dont go easy on it and has held up well so I wouldnt be too worried about a little whine.

if you are perfect opportunity for rebuild and 3.91s!!

Had same problem with my old VU SS, and VY SS, and VZ SS. Had all 3 replaced under warranty. All were automatic utes, rarely loaded and driven gently majority of the time. All started developing noisy whine from 40,000 - 60,000 kms.
