vr caprice lh headlight stays on

hey all

just bought a vr model(not sure what stateman model it is) caprice for cheap off a good mate to serve as a run around for my mrs and me when im home from work. havent picked it up yet but the lh headlight stays on after the lights are switched off key out and locked. havent got too much experience with earlier model holdens but i vaguely remember that there is something to do with this problem with the alarm or immobiliser maybe? i actually think it happened to my parents in their vp years and years ago.

not too sure but any help would be appreciated

Try disconnecting, one by one, all the wires that connect the headlight to the relay and internal switches. Unplug them check for corrosion and plug them back in again. My hi beam came on with my headlights one day, it was a badly seated connector.

Pretty sure there was a recall on the headlight plugs filling with water. Check the connectors at the back of the headlight.
