Once again, it is a lot of car for the coin, however, the aesthetics may turn a lot of prospective purchasers away. The front bumper is really not right. I do appreciate what DICHIERA and CSV were doing though - the CSV cars were very nice, unique alternatives, that went, handled and stopped well.
cheers

I think they really got those wrong, looks really bad to my eyes.... As Mike said, I'd take a CV8 or a GTO well before one of these...
What's with the wheels as well? Don't suit the car at all...

The front bar is really out of proportion to the car, what's with the lip on it? :spew:

I reckon theyre the best looking out of all of the CSV cars! I always see a yellow one around my area. Only CSV car I'd take over a holden.

Yeah the yellow Mondo's are tuff!
The VS one was tuff at the time, a real Holden/HSV killer!

CSV has had a history of dubious looking cars. Pull the front lip and throw a CV8 one back in and you're laughing. Plus the numbers are hard to ignore.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/nguidotto/csv095.jpgif memory serves me correct that was the first car CSV produced and it was the CSV Strada Extreme SiR and took the top spot for Australia Fastest Built 2door V8. took the spot off the GT HO.
think i still got the article from motor or whatever it was in at the time

Hahaha - buy this one and get a CV8 or GTO front bar and paint it up - still all done for less than 30k, much less than many are asking for stock Munros at present.
BTW - I think Pagey found the piscatorial inspiration for the front-end treatment.

Yep I remember being completely in awe by the Blown Statesman they had with a sequential Hollinger Box. I even remember the article in MOTOR mag. The thing was a bloody weapon for its time.. Still is.
Back then I used to have a lot of respect for Peters work.. That changed when I started seeing some of the tunes he's put out in LS1's. The man for someone with his experience should know better.. Or he is just plain lazy.

How come they aren't releasing any new models? No $$$ or?

unfortunately things happened which were told to me under between them, me and the wall we were sitting on which u could say made him lose that passion and became a little lazy and careless...very sad!!!!

More money in selling shit house less than mail order quality tunes to un-suspecting customers. Ahh but he'll run it up on his dyno and change nothing For ya. $1000+ per car for 20 min work. Why would you bother building cars anymore.
so sure it was the Strada Extreme SiR...

Certaiy looks like a Strada Extreme Sir to me. It had a T56 box and a specy twin throttle split manifold if I recall

This car is a bargain at $25,000. Saw in one of my old MOTOR mags last night that it cost $86,000 brand new.
I would take this over a Monaro anyday!
Excellent

That car is a real eye sore and a blight on the Monaro name. Sad.

Wouldn't take much to make it look like a Monaro again. I wouldn't change it though as I quite like it.
Maybe just change the wheels.

Maybe just change the wheels.
The wheels are the single worse part of the CSV "enhancement".. they look like they should be on an old Gemini, not a Monaro.
Excellent

I am only talking about the VS range. Not sure what happened after that but it was definately the Veloce. If you go to the CSV web site and look at the 'about CSV' it states the veloce as being Australias Fastest production vehicle....i too would have the mag somewhere in my collection but i really cant be stuffed going through them all. But i can take a digital photo of the poster i have. Which is the Veloce 5700i with the title of Autralias fastest production car 1996
You could probably convert it back to monaro spec (front bar inc. grille and rear garnish anyway, and get rid of the hideous stick-on side vents) for alot cheaper than buying a monaro and modifying it to make 220rwkw. I dont mind the bonnet vents either. An old street commodores feature car ROARZ had the grille fitted to the stock VX SS front bar and the bonnet vents, it looked really good. loving the blowfish comparison too!
