the paint has fadded hardcore on my bonnet when i bought the car off the last owner he said he got the bonnet resprayed cuz his puppy got up on it and scratched it but i think they did a dodgy job of the resray cuz of how bad its fading.. now i was thinkin i might try somthing differnt with the bonnet ethier go with a monaro bonnet or get one made with like a moulded in reverse scoop or somthin that might look a bit out of place tho not sure... wat do u think?? or i could just get it resprayed.. the car is a 2004 vy ss black...

Have you checked the wreckers for a bonnet? You may find they have one in good nick.

I wouldnt bother replacing the bonnet with a stock one, either get it resprayed or replace it with a modified one. SVE used to do an XR8-style bulge on a VY/VZ bonnet that was actually based on the VN group A bulge, so it looked really different, but in a good way. probably quite pricey though.

Get a bonnet like the SLR5000's used to have. Only joking, just get it resprayed, in Black.

Cut a hole in it so your new positive displacement supercharger can oh so subtley protrude (Eaton, TVR etc) :banana:

Mate ive heard that savage fibreglass are doing some nice Monaro bonnets and they are not badly priced around $650 plus del might be something to look into.

Half of the mods on these cars would probably be illegal too. Would it be obvious to cops that it was fibreglass?

Speeding is illegal and we all do it.

They are illegal as in the situation of a frontal accident the bonnet will not bend and may spear thru the windscreen at you.... no fun without a head!

Be carefull of buying fibreglass panels for your car as I had a rx3 drag car that was loaded with FG panels and you will end up paying a shitload to a panel beater to try and get it straight and black is the worst colour for showing imperfections. Sorry to dishearten you but better now than after you shelled out your bucks! Best just get it resprayed by a competant paint shop I reckon.
