WTB: 6 piston AP brakes off VZ or VY GTS

Looking for a set of the AP racing 6 piston fronts, and 4 backs of either a VZ or a VY GTS model.

Need to be complete and in excellent condition.

The AP Racing brakes for the VY/VZ are 4 piston front and rear not 6 piston front. Check out wheel king, they have them new for about $3500.

VY GTS and some VZ's did indeed come with 6 piston HSV AP's fitted.

There was an optional upgrade on the R8's and GTO's for the 6 piston fronts, and they were also on the VY GTS, but with a different disc.

Correct :) The SV6000 got the same brakes as well I believe (pretty much a VZ GTS anyway...)

I think Holmart had some a while back? They're not the cheapest of things, that's for sure. Maybe worth getting some Harrops instead if you struggle to find them. Well worth it though!

We had these brakes optioned on our VZ GTO from new. They are the "top of the range", as compared with the 4 spots previously mentioned.You are making a good choice. The VY series have drilled & slotted rotors, but the later VZ ones are only slotted...they may be a bit thicker too..PlanetDavo would know. You will also need an 18" space saver that came with this package when ordered new. The original pads are Ferodo DS2500.

JHP probably have sets, & I was at Motorfield a few months back, & they had a set also. They will not be cheap.

2002 GTS Monaro are the Harrop calipers, not AP Racing 6 spots.
