Hi Gang

Anyone know if I can improve the gaps where the front bumper meets the front corner of the quarter panel just near the headlight?. I think the bumper has been dragged a little when reversing. Can the fitting mechanisms (those large black bits) be replaced?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

cheers gang.

Yes the plastic guides to the front guards are a replaceable item.
You can usually unscrew and unclip part of the bumper cover to gain enough room to replace it.

Hi Davo.

Do you know if this is the part responsible for how well the bumber fits? or is this the part likely to stretch when a bumper is nearly pulled off if you park to far over a kerb and then reverse over it?

thanks for your initial reply.

The bumper pushes into this slide and locks in, which is basically what is wholly responsible for the alignment of the bar fascia.
It is very common for a car that has dislodged the bar fascia to never clip in properly again, unless the slide is replaced, as it kind of takes the sharp edges off the clippy bits, allowing the fascia to droop or move around a bit.

Thanks for your help Davo. I'll get the parts then set aside a weekend to give it a go.

cheers champ.

The price of the slide has recently dropped $20 too!
