ive got ve ss ute, has all bolt ons with tune.
now i have the money to get nice flat hard cover, 20s and teins OR a cam package and upgrade clutch...
Not sure what to go for, i want that nice cam sound and power but really i dont get to use the power all that much.
cant make mind up?

Based on the fact that you have the bolt ons with a tune, no doubt your happy with the gains you have received over its stock performance?? If so, do some cosmetic upgrades, that way you will have a nice balance of looks and power.. If you aint happy with the power after the tune/bolt ons, then go and get the cam, worry about looks later..
IMO, i'd do the look/power combo...
Who did your work on your ute??

Yeah im pretty happy with power goes really good.
exhaust place is fyshwick, gentech did U/D and billet shifter.
steve from oztrack did the mafless tune.

if you don't race you can't use the power you already have, so why get more. Its a waste and a cop magnet or epa if too modified
make it look better is better, but then some knob will damage it or steal it.

+1, you've already said you don't get to use the power you have all that much, and you've already done the usual bolt-on's and a tune - it's already going to move off the line pretty smartly.
Time to pimp it up a bit I think.

COMPLETELY agree. Unless you are aiming for some serious track work or a quater mile target, wouldn't bother. Make it look better if you are already happy with the performance, then you'll have more enjoyment looking at it as well as driving it.

what is it with people on hear against having a tuff streeter?
not everyones into track or quater mile, some people just enjoy have a tuff sounding car to cruise round in that has some balls when you want it, for example ill be building a ls3 big cam/heads and maybe after market intake,at the end of the day it will not see a track while i own it except easternats cruising.
cam it you will love it.

show - I've always liked the stock look on any car ( well, most anyways )
go - if you have to ask show or go - you've got enough go
Save the money until you really want something on your car - ie die if you don't have it - it hurts so much you don't have it, that you in pain till you got it.

i only have to ask because i dont have enough money for it all.
thats why its looks or power.
i just got myself a set of ssv wheels so thats 1 done, i can still do cam and clutch, or i get my hardcover and coilovers.
i already have pedders lowered springs its ok height but not low enough
if thats the case how abut getting the cam and hard cover and leave the clutch till it dies (and you save) then do round 2 clutch and coilovers

you have a very good point there, only thing is i talked to sonny and he reakons standard clutch wont last very long, can just depend.
if i drop clutch kick it back few gears 3 or 4 times and go to redline my clutch sometimes sticks abit thats about it.
do ppl reakon it will be ok with 300+rws??
OR i could prolly do, hardcover, teins and diff gears 3.7s?
