Sydney V8 Race Launch Invite

I have heard for a while now that a bunch of V8Supercars would be driving across the Harbour Bridge as part of the Syd 500 launch. I read in Auto Action today that it is a goer.

My question is does anyone have any more details specifically on the timing of this run across the harbour bridge or where they will be leaving from ? I assume the cars will need to be transported somewhere to be 'prepped' before heading across the bridge.

If anyone knows anything i would appreciate some details.

Looking fwd to the launch on Sat. Reading Auto Action today has me pumped and wondering where i am going to sit. This bus stop chicane sounds interesting along with the chicance where kev coombes ave meets olympic boulevarde.

I hadn't heard they will run across the harbour bridge, that would be so good to see, will have to take the kids down there on Saturday morning to see it all

Auto Action indicates it will be happening.

Unlike the F1 run some years back they won't be closing the whole bridge. They will shut 2 lanes and the cars will be led by the Nissan GTR Pace Car and have a police escort.

I had a quick look at the RTA website last night to see if they had anything about lane closures but nothing.

I can't believe this has no press apart from an article in Auto Action. Hold on...it is is V8Supercars in Syd....i guess i should be used to no press coverage about v8's up here....
