Hey everyone,,

Ive had heaps of trouble with my teins that I had fitted in october..Now the rears have started making noise whenever I go over any small bump..Even when you push down on the rear of the car you can hear it..It is on both sides but more on the drivers..Not quite sure if its coming from the springs or from the shocks..Im just totally over the teins, I think they are garbage. The front springs are far far to soft and hit the bumpstops on everything and even when the shocks are set to full soft they are still very rough..Dosent make driving enjoyable when you have to look out for every little bump in the road and grit your teeth.. I have read that other people have put stiffer springs in the fronts but my question is has anyone else got the suspention travel noise from the rears..You cant miss it, its there all the time and its very loud..Drives me insane when the radio isn't on.. I have sent an email to tein just waiting for there response..And yes I have been back to Fulcrum but they didnt seem to really care saying that everyone else has been happy..

Hi,

I don't know who fit them for you (and don't care to discuss it on a public forum) but if you wish I have a Fulcrum Suspension authorised shop in Ormeau. (Proline Automotive)

I would welcome you to bring your car up and have one of the guys here check them out free of charge.

Call 55407900 during office hours and we can get this done.

You don't get a better offer than that!
By the sounds of things those uprated springs are VERY necessary to keep you off the bumpstops... but you've said that even on full soft, it's too rough? You might have to raise the car a bit if u want it soft and to not hit the stops. Hmm... guess if u can't get the original installer to sort you out, these other guys sound like a good place to visit :goodjob:

Hey everyone,,

What sort of noise is it making?, clunk?, squeak?, bang?.. It might help knowing the noise if you can describe it.

What I have heard common to alot of suspension upgrades and even holden warranty work, service people have forgotten to tighten up the rear sway-bar link pins while the car is at "Ride" hight (not jacked up or suspended from a 2 post hoist). The most common nut loose if the one which secures the link pin to the control arm. I chased this issue with my SSV for several months till it was found.

I am not saying this is your issue but one anoying thing to find when your getting clunks and bangs in the rear..

Btw: V8 Utes offer is damn good and might give you peace.

Cheers,
Phil

i have tiens fitted to my vx ss. they are awsome! i had a clunk from the front where the link pins fit to the coil over. what happens is the powder coat chips away just after fitting them( around 1000 km for me) and you just need to tighten the bolt again and they have been fine since. maybe something similar is happening on the rear!
