Hey all just thought i'd post about an annoying prob with my Russo OTR

It's happened 3 time so far, the air filter has moved/dislodged on top surface and as you can see created a curve which is/has let some unfiltered air though.

Just put screwdriver in too scale size of gap

First time i noticed was on dyno, will admit i'd just cleaned filter so could have been my fault, but maybe the fan blowing made it move???? Second time i noticed was just through every day driving and 3 time was after track day last week(pic's taken then) with speeds off up too 200km'h. So far done 15000km's

Been really happy with the OTR so much i bought another for my ute(no probs so far) any one else had this problem or is it just me:confused:

Not really concerned about unfiltered air just a little annoying

Cheers Paul

Bloody quick allready PM'd by Russo's and offered a new one.

Still not sure if it's me(fitting after cleaning) or the otr but will check it out at place that installed during week and post result.

I have only seen this when the air filter has been incorrectly installed

How do you mean exactly?

Mines fine , but when i originally installed it i had a bit of trouble getting the top of the filter in right . This was due to lack of space to get hands in . With a bit of work i got it in . I'm presuming that yours may not have been put in correctly as once in , it is a snug fit .

if the top portion of the filter isnt seated correctly the filter could sit low and end up falling inwards.

Maybe your car has too much power for it Paul.

I never had a problem and i took mine out every time i raced. With the design of the intake i cant see how this has happened unless the filter was not installed correctly but as you have seen russo dont mess around if it is a problem send it back they are always happy to help.:)
