Pollen Filters

Hi everyone,

I have my 30,000 km service tomorrow. And the dealer wants to change the pollen filters as a part of the service etc of course....

How long to they last for and when are you meant to change them.

The R8 is about 13 months old and 30k on the clock. I live in Brisbane.

Just had the 30k service done on my Lumina. Charged about $40 for the filter plus fit. No word on time though. We only chose it as an option as my eldest is asthmatic and we thought that it couldn't hurt.

We change them in the Honda euros at 20k now as 30k was too long. As they are a very fine filter they block up quick. I think you'll find most manufacturers recommend the same service interval. Ask to see the old one if you like, they should be happy to show it to you, after all you paid for it in the first place :)

30k is about right, depends what conditions the car is in generally. Earlier for dusty conditons etc
