Does anyone know if the B&M Pro-ratchet shifter is ADR approved? Or which of the B&M range (auto) is approved?
From what i understand it needs to have reverse lock-out, neutral start and working reverse lights. What i'm not certain on is the illumination on the shifter location and whether that is required. If it is then i guess putting an LED which lights up the lever indicator would be ok

its a case of roadworthy, not ADR. Lots of things are ADR, like braided line fro example but they are not roadworthy. It varies from state to state but i beleive it had to be illuminated.

I'm pretty sure you have to have an illuminated gear indicator, and being B&M (American) most are for LHD cars and the gear indicator is on the left side of the shifter lever.
I know they make a RHD Quicksilver shifter as I've used one before on my torana but I'm not sure if the Pro-Ratchet has a RHD version.
The pro-ratchet is in the competition range and doesn't have gear indicator illumination,Try looking for a shifter in the performance range. The Quicksilver is a good shifter, stay away from the Star Shifter it's a pos.

Thanks for the help. Looked up the quicksilver one and don't mind the look of that one and appears to have all the bits to pass the pits so i'll probably end up getting one of them
