Normal For Reverse Lights to Light Up With Unlock?

Hi Guys,

As the title says, is it normal for the reverse lights to come on as part of the approach lighting when unlocking the car? Maybe its a VE/WM thing as none of my prior cars did it.

Yes they all do it, including my one tonight. Rear approach lighting.

yes, can be turned off in the settings menu or not leave light switch in auto mode

Some one needs to let the police know of this option on VE a while ago I was pulled over by the local costabulary when they thought I had try to dodge a RBT.
When I stopped and placed car in Park with ignition off reverse lights came on had a very angry policemen yelling at me from his drivers seat to take the car out of reverse and put it in park.
After passing RBT they asked why I had not put car in park proceeded to show them how it works reply was s^*t we have about 15 of these at the staion and did not know they did this.
