Just letting you all know about the replacement for the standard 18 and 19 inch bridgestones, 245/45r18 and 245/40r19 94w.
These tyres have traditionally been overpriced (ie $500 and over $600). Now I am not a sponsor so I can't give names, but Bridgestone has these on special to dealers this month. Expect to save around $200 per tyre.....
Just letting you all know.

When I was looking for the bridgstones in 18" a few weeks ago the bridgstone dealers said that bridgstone had dropped all the prices recently.
With the 18"s they have dropped from $500 to approx $400 per tyre.

Maybe I should get some more if they are on special this month.
They are a bloody good tyre.

gday Phil, this sounds good as my old girl needs a new set for her R-class.

Actually quick question is there any other tire you would reccommend as the Turanzas dont seem to last too long. Its a heavy car I know but it really chews tires.

I got a price this week on some 245 40 19's and was quoted $395 per tyre. I have since decided to go to 20 inch wheels, when I can find them.

Anyone wanting to know where these Bridgestones for $395 ea are, can PM me.
I live in Adelaide and Im a Power supporter.

Reckon you could prob get the 19 cheaper than that.... 18 definetely cheaper than 400. Now is a good buy time if you want the original equip.
Also doin 235/40R18 RE040 cheap to...

Don't go looking for prices on the Bridgeys in 20". in my naive and limited knowledge of large tyre buying I recently fronted up to desk in a tyre shop asking this very question about some RE050As.

Needless to say after I shat myself and picked my jaw off the floor I promptly executed a snappy about turn and exited the shop with my tail between my legs. They are bloody expensive.:bawl:

Possibly due to Holden changing to Michellens now on the SSV and I assume SS. In future they won't have such easy pickings with people coming in and wanting the "original" tyres, so have to become more competitive. I expect we'll see Michellens coming down soon too.

I just got 2 tyres Bridgestone RE050A 245/40/R19 for $360each fitted.

Got them again even tho they dont last long 34k out of the last rears and they were smooth as when i dropped into bridgestone this arvo.

But as the price of $360each why not..

If i didnt get it from there I was going to buy some of the pull offs from holmart for $345 which is still a very good price.

has anyone recently picked up re001's at 18/40/235? I paid ~350 last August. What are they going for at the moment?

I really need some -ive camber ... :bawl: keep on wearing out the shoulders at track days.
