View Full Version : Cleaning Interior Of Gto Rear Window!

I find this a really awkward task.
The back seat of a Coupe is not the easiest place in which to move around, & I find cleaning the interior of the rear window to be a real pain....getting off the usual build up of interior mist/film etc.
The top part is ok, but getting to the bottom, particularly the bottom, along the parcel shelf, around the brake light, & worst of all, the bottom rear corners, to be almost impossible to access properly.
Anyone else encountered this problem, & if so, how do you get around it?
Cheers, Pickles.

I buy a couple of micofibre glass cleaning gloves, them get some popsicle(icepole) sticks from a craft shop

Slid one inside the micofibre glove and its easy to push it into the tight areas

Works for me - hopefully it will for you as well - or get thinner fingers haahaa:rofl:

For me, nothing beats a big piece of scrunched up newspaper and water. Seriously, try it. Wet news paper to clean and dry newspaper to dry. If you need top get into a tight space, just adjust the amount of newspaper you use.

It doesn't answer the original question but don't knock it until you've tried it. I've been using newspaper for years now and it's the only thing I've found that doesn't leave smears and swirls on the glass.

Just need to be a bit careful around the trims as the newsprint can leave marks which becomes another cleaning job.

Highly recommended!!:goodjob:

Microfiber cloth or Glass cloth wrapped over the end of a kitchen spatula does the trick. The end is soft and pliable so it won’t do any damage and it gives you enough reach.

If you want a real challenge, try the inside of the acrylic in a Porsche GT3-RS… Much less room than a GTO and a full roll cage to contend with!
