Mate, I just got a set on the weekend in shadow chrome from Bob Jane at Erina on the Central Coast.

So enquire at your Bob Janes up in Newy and/or go to Ozzy Tyres..they can get them in also.

My mate just got his VE GTS rims painted black in a package done by Bob Jane and it turned out hot!

By the way, they are the replicas, not genuine.

I asked my local friendly holden dealer about a set and he basically told me they are expensive as they come attatched to a gts so you will only get originals with either vin no or private sale or copies. I reckon the copies look good and will probably be cheaper. Jax, Bob jane,Ozzy probably Tempe tyres etc could all get a set for you.

IMO shadow chrome looks better. You need a little bit of contrast form the car.

LOL, do you want a good job? $250 a rim is good value when I have Satin black, gloss metallic red and ceramic clear coat. So I can use wheel cleaners and not worry.

They do a top job. If you go red walls..... it will fade. Atleast on the rim it will last forever!
I will get some pics of the new red I have on them. It isn't as bright.

Tell you what if your considering $250 a rim i will do them for $200 a rim and freight them to your door ready to go:smilesandbanana::smilesandbanana:

i think gloss stamds out tomuch but go satin with ceramic clear as its durable

Bonners, Gloss black is just too shiney, especially on Black cars.
Satin is in between Gloss and Matte.

Hyper, That is why I went a darker metallic red. I'll take a pic and show you.
It will be a phone pic, so quality won't be there but you'll get the drift!

I'm getting wheels sand blasted next week then powder coating black next week then red walls alot cheaper all up about 400 as my mate own a performance coating shop

I dont think anyone has gone above 22".
I imagine the ride would be fairly harsh though.
From memory there pics of VE's with 22's, on Wholesale Suspension Threads in sponsors section and maybe in the other Wheel/Tyre sponsors threads.
When you lower them I think coilovers are an absolute must with that size for the right look and to minimise or eliminate scraping the guards.

There is a guy selling them on Ebay for $1,300 $50 extra for the 9.5 Rims.

Not sure how much they are going for at Bob Jane.

I had mine done in Evoke for $60 per rim, they turned out really well. I dont think i would have paid $250 per rim, but then i havent seen the quality you get for that price so its a bit hard to judge from only photos.

Unfortunately when i got my copies they only came in 8" wide, so im now thinking of going genuines with 9.5" on the rear.

I bought mine off eBay from a place in Melbourne at $1400 so they are all around that price i think.

+1 with VESS60's comments , get in contact with John , i called in and had a chat with him today about 20 " black rims , and our utes . He helped me with info on wheels for the Clubbie and will steer you right , good to see there are still people in the industry who are customer focussed . Thanks John:goodjob:

Um are you sure the dealer just didnt have them painted?

ROH, who make the wheels for HSV wouldnt just spit out 1 black set for you... the thousands of sets they make are all the same... the production line spurts out shaddow chrome :)

My dealer had mine painted before delivery... but doesnt mean it they were an option or from the factory. Otherwise im sure historically we would have seen many many more black GTS wheels and not the need to paint the bastards :)

If anyone is intending to get their rims powdercoated, there's a place in brisbane who do it for $195 for all 4 wheels...that's acid dipped then powdercoated...
