spare keys

I'm in need of a new spare 3 button remote and key for the VE Omega the dealerships want a arm and leg.
Can anyone suggest where else to get the key and remote programed from.

Not yet thats the only place for the moment, perhaps another dealer might be cheaper, until after market cracks the process

How much did they ask for the spare key plus programming?

pretty sure there are aftermarket ones already, seen a heap on ebay

might be selling the keys but they need to be programmed..

i think their is a a unit around like a tech 2 that will do these keys now, but its not widespread like at all minit stores or something. maybe someone on ebay has one would need your vin number maybe security number however to send it ready to go.

Except they still require to be cut and programmed. I got mine from a dealer and the key by itself cost the same amount as the ones on ebay.

Plus some of the ebay keys just comes with the top bit such as the flip part, you still need to get the bottom bit to finish off the key. Thats if you want a spare key and not just upgrade your main key.

Mate that is still cheap. Not long ago I was looking for a spare key for the missus' Toyota and the cheapest was $1200 programmed...:vpo:

wow now thats a rip off! do a little shop around cause my holden dealer just offered me a flip key programmed ready to go for $160 and I thought that was having a go at me lol maybe I will go get it on the weekend Central Coast Holden Gosford and thats not changing key parts etc cause I was robbed and they got away with my main set. Hope it helps ya
