Ok my ute is going a bit quicker now and on Sat I am going to be braking from 230 - 80 as quick as possible (caltex chase). Then the following week I am at a private day at Wakefield.
I haven't been biten by the circuit bug yet so I didn't think it necessary to opt big brakes. After a ring around, and quotes of $500 for pads alone in front (Ferodo & Endless), one place suggested Bendix Ultimate which I have used but didn't think would hold, the next suggested SRT (Street Road Track) Bendix. Well anyway bought from and rear (via repco) for under $450.
Prob is that I need to bed them tomorrow afternoon for racing Sat. Repco's slow delivery sucks sometimes. I have 100km/h zones all round that are quite empty. How should I bed them? Remember I need a big stop the next day.
I am expecting to destroy my discs by the end of Wakefield then I will make a decision on replacing standard size or upgrading, depending on hard hard the bug bites.

THey should have bedding in instructions on them as different brand like different techniques

Federo says to do about 20 sets of 80 to 20km/h at 50% brake pressure stops then check brake pad wear on the rotors. Just dont stop during the process and do a couple of warm down brakeings .
It should be even accross the rotor face but with old rotor and new pads this will be diffucult to see.

That should be about it. After one fast stop at the track they will come good.
Why would you want to destroy your rotors. Just get some good high temp fluid, braided lines and some home made brake ducts and they would do ok. If you cook your rotors it could bugger up your private day at wakefield. Look after them even if you are going to replace them.
