I noticed there was not much talk about rims and what peoples favourites are, so i decided a new thread was needed to express what you think are the best rims ever made and what you think of them!

They don't have to be holden rims, just what you think are the best!

This thread should be best Genuine HSV/HRT/Holden Rims and not aftermarkets.. Each style differs to each car.. It should be based on how the orriginal factory wheel looked on that model from the showroom...

I'll base all my wheels on orriginals..

These have to be 3 of the most successful rim designs of all time both for looks and style and popularity. I mean how long have FR's been around and they are still the 'hot' wheel to have especially on a 1st gen Commodore!!

Its a pity with the FR's they are no longer taking single orders group buys only, and dirty rumour is as of end of finacial year they are goner. I have absolutely no idea if its true it was one of those some bloke at a race track said once kind of deals.

VXWAGMAN, reason this thread wasn't Holden/HSV/HRT rims only is because each individual's opinion of good looking wheels differ, as you said "each style differs to each car"... this is just a chance for everyone to pick the top 3 wheels that they think are the best looking wheels they have ever seen... thanks for your input, i agree with the W427s! they're a tough rim, would love to see them on a street car...

My top 3 Best Rims of all Time are:

1 - Momo Status.
2 - Simmons B45 (a mate had a 16x8 set on his VH SLE 17years ago)
3 - VL Walkingshaw Rims.

Then IMHO its the GTS Rim relevant to the Model of Commodore (eg VT SS with VT GTS Rims)

What about VT II GTS rims?? Thought they'd be in by now. My favourite Holden/HSV/HDT/HRT wheels are VT II GTS, VY II Maloo R8 and VZ R8. Simmon's FR's, BBS RS and Speedy Cheetas are the best aftermarket wheels. And M3 CSL gets a special mention, they can't be beaten.
