Hi,

I had your 'Extreme XA Coilovers' fitted to my car about 18 months ago, and i have noticed that there is a clunking noise coming from the front of my car in the suspension, and i have put it down to my 'Strut Top Bushes' are stuffed. I just wanted to know if these bushes and the bearing that go with them are part of the Coilover kit?

Thanks heaps.

The ExtremeXa kits for the the Commodore did come with top mounts as part of the package. I suggest that you let you local Pedders guys have a look at it to confirm the cause of the noise and sort out a resolution for you.

i had a clunk coming from the front of my car not long after the xa's were fitted and it ended up being the sway bar bolts a bit loose, it was very hard to pick though,

thanks for that mate, will have a look into that too. i am going to change the strut mount bushes anyway, but will have a look at those bolts too.

no worries mate, its the nut on the rods that bolt to the strut they need to be very tight or you get a loud banging

Hi, any feed back as to the comfort & ride of the XA Extreme Coilovers fitted to your car compared to the fe2 suspension would be appreciated as I am weighing up my options for aftermarket suspension to fit to my car.
Cheers

Hi,
The beauty of the ExtremeXa's is that you can run the car at the required height without loss of ride quality as the adjustment method always retains full suspesion travel. Te ride quality will vary depending on the where you set the shock valving. With 30 adjustment settings, you can run with a smother than standard ride at the lower range through to a full on performance orientated feel at the higher range. Even at the higher settings the ride is not unpleasant. If you search through the Posts here you will find a number of comments on the handling and feel of the suspension.

Thank's Scott for the info, looks like that is what I am after. a lower ride height without the bone jarring ride. looks like I'll have to start saving.
