Yeah the lucas oils tractor pull series is on espn all the time, good stuff with plenty of grunt.

Some incredible machines, look like tractors out of Star Wars or something. Would love to have a good look at some of the engines, did you see the size of the T/B on the last one!!?

Qumbatook is the Australian Championships every Easter
and there are also various events around victoria/nsw/sa (Tooradin/Geelong) which is closer for the Melbourne guys.
out of the vic/nsw field this is my favorite tractor i try and get to as many events as i can to watch it.

same as turbines in helicopters and tanks id say. Turbine drives wheels through some form of gearbox.

That thing at the end with the huge throttle body should come with a warning capable of swallowing a small child.

Still believe that the turbines are cheating can not beat the sound of the infernal combustion engine.
