As much as Luke from Wholesale Suspension has helped me out, I'm gonna get my 2006 VE Omega (stock as a rock except for a chevy badge/grille) lowered through Pedders Suspension.

They're literally around the corner from my house and they're giving me 2 years warranty on the suspension which is very promising.

I simply asked for a quote on lower suspension and they outright and very nicely said $640. Now I'm a bit skeptical and don't wanna be a hassle on the spot about it so I thought making a post here in regards to their procedures and equipment through Pedders on LS1/Holden Forums would be a good idea.

Now, just for the record, I'm gonna get the 19" SSV wheels on my car before getting it lowered.

My concerns are that my Omega doesn't have FE2 suspension and I'm just seeking a nice comfortable lowered ride which can take bumps decently and take corners with an improvement.
I'm not too picky but IDEALLY I want an increase in performance as well as it not being too much of a pain to daily drive (over bumps and such I mean).

I know this is a ute, but the guard-wheel clearance I want on my Omega is exactly like this:

I think this ute has PERFECT suspension (aesthetically anyway) and that's the look I want.

Seeing as you guys would know what most Pedders shops use as a resource, I was hoping you could give me some assistance and some guidelines to go by. Say for instance, if I walk through the door with the money in my pocket to pay for suspension, what should I tell them to use ('as professionally recommended by Pedders')?
It's not that I don't trust them, I'd get their input as well, but I just want some reassurance and education on this more than anything. I just want it to come out perfectly to my standards is all.

Thanks heaps in advance guys! :)

Take the photos to pedders and show them what u want. I have dealt with them a couple of times and they have been good at explaining how it will turn out, but I have never been in a lowered car that is as comfortable as standard suspension, it just aint gonna happen.

Hi Burak,
The comments from Paull SSV Ute are very valid.

Take any pics you have and chat with the stores staff so that you are comfortable with the advice they are providing. The last thing we want is a disappointed customer. Yes the ride will be firmer but still comfortable. Once you start changing suspension ride quality to some degree or other will alter it is just a given.

I have added a link to the PDF that we used to release the Sports Ryder coils for the VE (including Coil part numbers) and it has an Omega sedan picture on it which will give you an idea of how the car will look. It only has standard wheels on it so you will have to imagine it with larger rims fitted. The price is a fair one for 4 springs fitted.

Hope this helps

Well I've driven many lowered cars before, and I suppose ideally everyone would want a relatively similar amount of comfort with better performance, but like I said, I'm not too fussed, as long as it looks good.

That pdf makes the Omega look like it's sitting at a very desirable height.

I'll print the PDF and the photo of the ute alongside the LS1 discount and have a chat with the guys there.

Thank you Paul, and thank you Scott.
You both helped a lot. Cheers guys!
