I would at least be waiting till I got the first 3000 k service out of the way just to make sure it hasn't got any problems with it. If you get a tune straight up and the motor or box is a shitter the dealer can refuse warranty.

cheers

yeah mate do the 3k then take it in.. thats what i did with with mine.. gives u time to find any issues that might need dealer attention before you start modding also.

Ive done a few very new cars and had the customers come back for a fine tweak when they are a bit older. There is a big difference in driveability from a tune in the VE, i had a customer a few weeks ago who rarely revs his over 3000rpm :) and he was wrapped in the change that he felt in the car.

Dunno , but Mr Rudds new tax break prompted one Willowbank punter to add a modest sum to the agreed driveaway price on new Maloo from Zupps HSV most recently..............
, said Maloo last seen heading to PT on the back of a tilt-tray before returning to dealer for delivery. a smidgen more than OTRCAI and tune were performed ....I’m most reliably informed ...:diddy:

Why wait till 3,000k's!

Have seen many of these mods done before the plates even go on, as that is how the person has ordered it from the dealer.

Plenty of dealers offer this service to there customers with full warranty. I did not wait till 3,000k's to do mine, as I had already put synthetic in it just after a 1,000k's.

I went to SAMS PERFORMANCE and they did a brilliant job. Huge gains from simple mods, and all the way through the rev range. Make sure you run 98 Octane and not crap 91 :goodjob:

SAMS do up to 30 cars with these mods a week

Why wait. Just do it. It's well worth it. Otherwise you'll drive around everyday wondering what it would be like.

But they didn't say they wouldn't do it so I don't see what the dilemma is

Of course they'll do it, they're a business, why would they refuse? :) It means you'll be back for a second tune later on. That's good business!!!

Personally, I'd wait at least a year or so, but thats just me.

I'm in the same boat, but I can wait til at least 5k.

You can't tell me you're unhappy with the power output it has at the moment??

+1 for the wait till 3k holden check up. It at least tells you there is nothing wrong to start with under holdens warranty.
Known of a few lads who have small issues with their cars at this stage so better to give holden no excuses to refuse anything.
3K will come up quick enough and then go for it. If you planning on modding the car you are planning on looking after it by your own mechanic anyway so just go for it. Have also seen a few of the ve's produce an extra 10 rwkw's after loosening up with having nothing at all changed to the tune or mods.
Around 10K is the greatest time to go nuts on the mods.
Best of luck,
Andy.
