I received a letter from HSV regarding Area E2.
This is the area in Clayton where the next series HSV is being developed .
I would imagine that E2 stands for "E Series 2".
There is also a Forum for HSV members only ,where you have a password and punch in your VIN number.
Apparantly the Series 2 will have more design difference than previous models and have more options available.
It looks as though HSV want you to custom build your HSV a bit more, so they can charge you a premium for it .......Interesting times ahead.:)
Did anyone else get this letter?

In the VF Commodore thread it has been said that there will be no exterior changes to the Commodore for the Series II due in September. So you would think the same will be the case for the HSV.
I am hoping for at least some exterior changes for both.

Just re-reading the letter ,it is mailed out to HSV Frequent Buyers only .
I thought it was was mailed out to all HSV buyers but that is not the case.
To qualify , you must have purchased three or more New HSV`s.

Sounds like HSV are blowing hot-air up their own skirt...
Ah well, when times are tough, nothing like hitting up your proven loyal customers. Don't blame them really.

have to own one to get in on this, that limits the market of possible new owners input to what they would like if they were to get one.
guess hsv doesn't want new customers just old ones
limited marketing strategy area 52 extinct

limited marketing strategy
Hence the term "Special" in the name, "HSV".

I somehow doubt that HSV would be limited the marketing input into the design of the E2 to just the forum. The marketing team will still be canvasing feedback from the target audience through other means.
This is just one of the more public approaches and is probably designed to make the "HSV Frequent Buyers" feel warm and cosy in thinking that have a big say in the design which will probably result in them being more likley to buy another new HSV.
Its a pretty clever marketing approach if your think about it properly and not be so closed minded as to think that the only want ideas from old customers and dont want new customers. Its a known fact that HSV Personalities frequent this forum, among other places, especially around launch time, to gauge peoples reaction to new concepts, designs, etc. This is just another avenue of the market research team.

Since the HSV E2 will have exterior design changes is it wishful thinking that the VE II Commodore will as well.
