Has anyone got some quarter mile times for a stock ls3 and by stock I mean the way it left the production floor, no tune, otr, exhaust, stock rims etc.
Timeslips/links would be great to look at also as i'm currently involved in a thread over at Ford Forums where I have said it's possible that ls3's will run 12's stock given a decent drive/conditions and I need some proof to back up my claims.
I have checked the timeslips database and can't seem to find much
cheers - matt

the fastest i remember seeing was a GTS run 13.2's not sure about 12's tho keeping in mind the w427 done a 12.8-12.9.. in a recent mag i remember a senator doing a 13.1..
try reading this thread may be some in there.

errrr ooops matt, maybe one in an earlier model maybe as I dont recall reading anywhere its been done.
get on the US forums and have a goosey there too.
Bouka's 100% Stock Senator Signature LS3 Auto. ran 13.13 at the Nats
For me personally it was a very enjoyable day with the Senator doing a best of 13.13 at 106.47. Completely stock.
Could have possibly gone faster with the cooling temps and crisp air but there will always be a next time.

I would love to have seen Bouka get a 12! The boy has come along way since 14s in the clubby :stick:

Every time that car ran it would get quicker.....not surprised if the spare wheel was ditched and it was run when the temps really dropped that night it would have hit 12's.

One run without the spare, then the next without the filter and the next without the backseat, then the glovebox lid and then .....
On a serious note would be interesting to see what times it could run with some drag radials/slicks

12's easy, as he would have been able to stall it up. As it was he was just flooring it off the line.

Seen heaps of L98 VE's run in the 13.4 range dead stock - with the extra power, gears & tyres the HSV LS3 has - I would say a low 13 should be a snap & a high 12 under the right circumstances more than possible.

From memory I think that the car even had the normal air pressure in the tyres! A true street number

Spot on Jase.
40psi, 3/4 tank (Vortex 98), spare in, paper air filter etc etc. Even had all of bookclubs jackets in the car. Plus the shocking flaring from 2nd to 3rd. Was hitting limiter when it wasn't flaring.
As stock as they get.
The Senators are pushing some weight as well.
Spare and filter out (jackets out lol) would have done an easy 12.9.
These LS3's are an awsome motor.

I think it is possible to get a 12 out of a stock l98 VE, a LS3 should be a bit quicker.
