Hey guys ,would like to share a few pics of my project ,i havent worked out what i gonna do with it yet but i will think of something :burnout:
Its pretty stock atm the only additions are a full di fillipo exhuast, bilstien shocks and lowered springs which the previous owner fitted.
Picked it up 2 months ago and gave it a go at the drags ,it managed 3 runs at 13.00 the best was 13.007 just short of a 12 second pass

ok the dash mat is to stop the dash board gettin full of dust, the steering wheel cover is to stop the steering wheel peeling like my last car and the seat covers to stop the seat ripping like the first 10 vz's i looked at before i bought this one
i like the way they go and how easy it is to get power out of them, but the holden build quality is absolute shit but iam sure many ppl know this

haha ok mate suit yourself, but ill let you in on a little secret, its called cleaning with quality products - if you do this your dash, wheel and seats will remain good as for years to come. You may even find that the wheel cover and seat covers will further increase the wear. But hey each to their own.
Cheers

none , i have never met one with UV rays down there ,thanks for your concern :goodjob:
Why not just buy a car for a few grand cheaper that's in cr@p condition if you're going to ruin it with seat covers and dash mats. I don't understand the point of putting up with making your car look sh!t just so the next owner can enjoy how nice it is underneath. Take it out! That goes for car bra owners too.
Anyway essentially it's an awesome car. You've done well.

Awesome lookin car. Love all of the VZ HSVs!!!
But I have to agree with heaps of others, im not a fan of the covers. The dash and steering wheel can be protected with 303 - Aerospace Protectant which is SPF 40+ so UV will not damage them plus it doesnt go all glossy, it has a natural factory sheen. Same with the Seats. Zaino and the like have Leather conditioners which have ultra gaurd which once again protects from UV...
Leatherman who re-trims leather said that using seat covers can cause more damage because of them rubbing.
Just my 2c. Awesome looking car nonetheless. :goodjob:

It's ok to want to keep everything in good order but you can be too over protective.
I've always used one of those sun covers on my leather wheels and they have kept really good plus use leather conditioner regularly.
My last car had a 15yr old leather wheel and not a sign of cracking when I sold it.
A problem with seat covers on top of leather is that sand can get caught in the cover fibres and actually cause almost as much damage as no cover at all.
Just keep plenty of good product on all the leather and it should look good for years.
Latest up date, put an otr intake on and done a 12.8 @ 110mph on a very warm night at the the motorplex here in perth ,was expecting around 12.6 but i think was just a wee bit warm that night

Nice work dude, only thing I dont agree with is the sound system, you already have a good theme song with that LS2 and it only slows ya down.
I got an R8 in Phantom. Good to see with little mods you can crack 12's, havent touched mine yet it's completely standard but good to know these things are easily tapped in to.
And yeah, VZ HSV best looking models ever.

looks great, just get rid of the steering wheel grandpa cover and grandpas dash mat!
looks terrible
or get some big mudflaps and weather shields for the doors to give it that grandpa touch :jester:
Don't need one
