i don't think I need to as it's only a minor, but I will need to double check the infringement as its still in the glove box of my car

how about change to original springs to get it cleared. I've got a set sitting in the garage which am happy to lend you if you decide to go that way.

I dont know about vic but in SA they measure the height between the centre of the wheel and the bottom of the guard. reason for this is you cant fudge the figures like you can with the ride height ie what you are trying to do with the 20s

Last time my mate got done for being too low, the chick inside Vic roads came out with a full size car license plate and checked behing each of the tyres. The plate didnt touch anything so he got cleared. Thats all it was. His car wasnt even that low, more of the fact he was driving a skyline me thinks.
JASE, MILLSY - let this black man borrow your wheels to pass the defect..
I will give you his address incase he runs away with them LOL :lmao:

Hey Joe that sucks man. From my experience vicroads use a 100mm wheel on the end of a long stick (got a home made one from last time), they go aroune the car checking it doesnt hit anything. The flange on your extractors is usually the lowest point. If its the rear of the car you could try a couple of 10mm spacers, front end is the pain.

Had the exact same happen, I got around by jacking up the car at chocking the springs with some blocks of wood, have it cleared then just jack her up again and will pop out. good luck

last time i got done for bein to low and bald tyres, i replaced the springs and put on new tyres (did the right thing), went into vicroads and the chick didnt even look at the car :bawl: just did her paperwork and said thanks see ya later  better to be safe than sorry though. its not hard to put some standard springs back in for the morning.

I just measured the rear and with SL and 19s it should pass fine, the fronts are going to need some FE2 to pass I think.
I would be glad if I rolled up and they didn't look at the car, anyone know where there are "easy" vic road stations?
