Just got home from Cessnock where I just picked up a 2005 M6 Z R8 Clubsport. Needless to say the smile is back. Here is a really crap picture to show what it looks like.

I'm originally from Newy myselfHSV's are not that easy to find at the best of times. To find one that is LS2, Black & Manual means you follow any leads you have.

Ryan,

I havent seen you smile like that in a while mate !!!!:) , congrats on your new ride mate !!!

Thx Sonny, was great fun driving it back from Cessnock. Very different to the old "Torque Monster" VS GTS in the power delivery and take off!

You bringing her to Tassie Ryan?? Love the clubby mateLove to mate, just gotta get the time off, hopefully Jan School Holidays

E series GTS would've been better! :D :hide:

Nice one Raymond, Deborah will be pleased.

Checking the brakes ... I thought the VZ HSVs got the AP brakes? Those look like Harrops.

Not that it matters a fark ... tidy and well overdue get matie.

Checking the brakes ... I thought the VZ HSVs got the AP brakes? Those look like Harrops. :1peek:

VZ R8's come with Harrops (like the VT-VY's), GTS coupe come with 6 piston Ap's and 4 piston AP's were an option for all other VZ HSV fitted with performance brakes

Nice one Ryan looks great in Black. Make sure you have a good security system in it considering your bad luck with the GTS & your old banger v6:bawl:

So that people are not left wondering, the Harrop 343/315 set-up was known as the Premium Braking System on the VZ R8 and you could option the AP-R 362/343 upgrade.

Reproduced form the HSV website -

BRAKES (http://www.hsv.com.au/cars/VZ/clubsportr8/clubsportr8.asp?ID=Brakes)

Standard Performance Braking System:
330 x 32mm ventilated and grooved front discs, with HSV embossed front callipers in HRT red, 315 x 18mm ventilated and grooved rear discs

Premium Braking System:
343 x 32 mm ventilated and cross drilled front discs, 315 x 18mm ventilated and cross drilled rear discs, Four piston HSV embossed front and rear callipers in HRT red, Silver finish front and rear hubs

AP Braking System : 362 x 32 mm ventilated and grooved front discs, 343 x 26 mm ventilated and grooved rear discs, Six piston HSV embossed front and 4 piston rear callipers in HRT red, Silver finish front and rear hubs

The VZ2 R8 came standard with the 350/332 AP-R brakes

Hope it clears it up.

cheers

Good to see you back in a quality ride. I remember the GTS from when Brad had it in Rocky. Enjoy the power of the LS2 instead of the torque of the old iron.

Did you bump into Mr Stewart or Martha?? :) Hopefully Martha anyway ha.

Exhaust tips might need a bit of Autosol & some lipstick (tyre black) on the tyres :stick:

Gave my quad exhausts a quick once over with Autosol on the weekend & good as new. Big difference.

MattExhaust Tips & Tyre Black are next on the list, only so many hours in one day. Will try this autosol stuff you speak of for the tips.
