Looks like the VF Commodore is going back to the US, now that the G8 is selling like hotcakes. 16,000 sales, ytd which puts it on par with original projections. Plus the Camaro is going gangbusters despite the credit crunch and 10% unemployment - 'most googled car' in the US and out to six months on order. Maybe GM is finally working out which side their bread is buttered on?

Co-incidently, I saw a LHD eval mule (VF?, HSV?) in matte white the other day, swooped across two lanes through peak-hour traffic into North Rd from Nepean Hwy in Brighton. Wondered why they would be driving this, with Pontiac and the G8 going. Front, roof looked different but we couldn't follow. Someone was trying to tag it, a small dark sedan jinked across two lanes to follow it.
Missus also saw a brand spamkers G8 with new reg turning into Salmon St engineering centre last week.
