Just wondering when I install the calipers, is it possible to attach the brake lines to the caliper before fitting ?? In other words can I mount the new caliper with new line to the rotor/car, then remove the old line with old caliper attached and quickly attach the new line. Its hard to explain but I am trying to reduce air in the lines.
Do I have to attach the new line on the car before I can attach it to the caliper ??
I hope this makes sense...
Cheers,

hey trev,
to be quite honest in RE to your question it could have severe implications if you do this wrong, you will need to bleed the brakes even if the old line is off for 1 second, there are many threads on here re Brakes,
best you read up then have a professional look at it.
cheers paul

Hey mate and thanks. I have done my fair share of brake installs and bleeding brakes so that side of it should be no problem. I was just after info on whether or not I can install the brake line to the car if it is already attached to the caliper.
Cheers...

undo the the calipier. hang it up with some wire out of the way. take disc off. take backing plate off the front only. put new disc on. put new hose on ap calipier. mount calipier on disc and bolt it on.undo the old hose from metal brake line, and put new hose on the metal brake line. and bleed like you would normally. check level in brake booster. took me 2 bottles.:goodjob:
cant be any easier than that. 2 hours all up. and one set of extra hands.
