I have been trying to get a set of rims for my SSV for 3 months now, long story but it seems to have come to an end.
This is what will be going on the car

295 nice work they should look great. Any chance of a pictire from the rear. I reasonatly upgraded my tyres from 245 to 275 at the rear. I was expecting a lot more traction of the line with them but cant say there are any noticable improvements off the line. I wanted to go 285 but my rims are only 8 inch wide and as it is from side view the tyres look massive on the rims.

Thanks for all the comments guys
They set me back $3300 with tyres
The 295's take a bit of guard rolling in the back, but they are worth the effort :)

They fill the guards well .
What size are your exhaust tips ??
Very chunky. I'm gettin these tyres next time. Hopefully 295's fit on 9.5''rims

Looks awsome mate, the wheels suit the ss nicely & i like what you've done with the boot lid gives it a nice clean look especially with the wing removed.

Exhaust is the 2.5" XForce system, I think the tips are 3" from memory

Thanks mate, I am almost there with the look I want for the car, then onto the engine mods.

Hi nice rims, my second choice of rim, but they would not fit so went with the G8's.
I also had a set of rims fitted with 295 's on the rear no guard rolling needed, my car is lowered as well.
Maybe I was lucky???
Did they recommend that the guards need rolling, or did it rub???
Cheers

Does anyone know how much these rims will throw the speedo out by???

Im sure going to try, coil overs next and pull the back down about an inch, and the front just a little.

Next step is to shave a bit off the rim to sink the offset back in a little, then it will be able to come down more

Nope, had to 'modify' the spring seat, aka hit it with a sledge hammer. Also had to trim away some of the mound where the bumper attaches to the guard. But if you dont put the extra work in the next wanker can copy by justbuying the same rims. So I was happy to have to put in effort.

No problems with mine, no rubbering no hitting the spring seat, no lipping guards.
I was told that some tyres have a wider appearance eg kumo's vs pirelli same tyre 245/30/22, the tyre mob put the two tyres together side by side and back to back and the kumo's were wider and he said that they would rub, so fitted Pirelli's for me zero nero's.
I liked the look of the kumo's they looked more compressed and wider but maybe would wear quicker
I have a VE GTS 07 A6 rear tyres are 295/25/22's
Cheers

Careful with the spring seat, i tried that trick and learnt the hard way, the spring bent it back and i had some pretty serious tyre wear.

245's should fit fine, so long as the offset is right, I have 255/30/22 on mine as they are 9" wide fronts and I wanted them to be load rated, so there was a bit of rubbing there.

I am going to get Pedders Coil Overs put in soon, so that will fix that issue, I didn't know they were going to bent the spring seat, I took it to Bridgestone and they just said they will fit, next I know they are taking to the car with a sledge hammer.

my rear offset is not 100% right, the x10's sit out too far when you have people in the back it touches, so we are going to machine a bit more off.
I have checked my speedo with a GPS and it is spot on, was probably out a little from factory on 20's.
I had to put 18's on it for a little while while I was changing rims, speedo was WAY out then, like 10kms at 100. so if you are going from 18's to 22's I would guess around a 10kmph @ 100 difference.

thanks for that ,be care full machining the wheels after they have been drilled, the nuts might bottom out on the top of the stud, thats what just happened to me ,waited 3 months for the wheels they machined the hubs to what they thought would be right ,still sitting out too far so machined out another 8 mm then the nuts bound on the studs, and the wheel was loose ,lucky i only drove them 20 ks home :vpo:so after some choice words were exchanged im now waiting for another set of rear wheels from the dealer,22's they look hot but what a head ache:spew:
