I picked up a VU SS Fifty Ute at a damaged vehicle auction to recover the LS1/T56 from it for a project I have so I didn't really care what model it was.
Interestingly, after I purchased it, I looked a little closer about what the SS Fifty was, and as far as I can tell it was a limited edition (500 made) factory Black (phantom mica). The one I bought is yellow!
VIN tells me;
Model: VU8VK80-062-8BB
Paint: K025
The numbers match the VIN and paperwork and where it was put backwards into a pole none of the undercoat is black, so it looks like a back to metal re-spray. Doesn't bother me but seems like a lot of work...
